Arabic sweets

Ingredients
500 g yogurt
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup sunflower oil
2 and 1/2 cup flour
3-4 tbsp cocoa
3/4 packet of cinnamon
100 g raisins
# For the syrup:
1 cup sugar
2 cup water

Method
Mix yogurt with baking soda, sugar and the oil. Flour mixed with cocoa and cinnamon and gradually add the milk. Finally put the raisins and pour everything into shape, greased with sunflower oil and sprinkled with flour. Bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of about 180 C. Since the sugar and water is boiled syrup and cooled. Well the cake pour the cold syrup.

I think the butter and sugar should be caramelized together to get a better effect and before it is cooled down to line up the apples, because when putting it in the oven and burnt caramel smell of burning.
