Carrot Halwa (Gajar ka Halwa)

Ingredients
2 cups grated carrots
2 and 1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp Gee or butter
6-8 tbsp sugar
6 cardamom seeds or 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 cup raisins optional
2 tbsp chopped almonds
2 tbsp cashews or pistachios, and can both

Method
In a frying pan to melt 1 tbsp butter, add the carrots, mix well and stew under the lid for 5 minutes. Add milk, sugar and cardamom beans, and cook about 30 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring occasionally. To the thickened mixture, raisins, cardamom powder (if used), the remaining tablespoon butter and nuts, leaving little for sprinkling on top and stir everything well until melted the butter. Halva distributed in bowls, cups or pour into a small pan and press down well. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Bowls served as sprinkle with remaining nuts if in cups can be turned in plates and sprinkle with nuts. Tray can turn in a large bowl, sprinkle with nuts and cut into pieces.

Very well, as we like carrots, there is something different wondering what can be done!

milk may be replaced with condensed milk in a thick-and it is great. but be careful with the sugar

So I love this halva. Especially taste of cardamom. Thank you!
