Ingredients
3 kg mussels with shells
1/2 cup (100 ml) vegetable oil
Chapter 1 (60 g) onion
8-10 (750 g) tomatoes
4-5 (200 g) carrots
2 tbsp (20 g) flour
bay leaf
tartaric acid
salt
Method
Well washed mussels are placed in boiling water to dissolve their shells. Remove clams (flesh), washed and put to boil with the bay leaf in a small amount of acidified water. Onions, finely chopped, stew in fat. Add grated carrots and also stew. Sprinkle with flour and stir. Pour in broth and clam juice of 4-5 tomatoes through a sieve. Remove from broth mussels are placed in a tray. On them pouring steamed vegetables and arrange slices of the remaining tomatoes. Dish add salt to taste and bake in the oven at moderate temperatures.
