Oil buns

Submitted by enr on 10 Sep 2009
Ingredients
1 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
1 egg
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups flour
1 and 1/2 tsp dry yeast or 20 g fresh yeast
2-3 tbsp melted butter
1 egg beaten with 2 tbsp milk spreads
sesame seeds for sprinkling
Method
Yeast dissolved in warm milk and sugar. Allow 10 minutes to rise. Add remaining ingredients. Blended into a soft, smooth dough, place in a greased bowl, cover with towel and let rise for about an hour (a doubling of the volume). Pour dough on a floured surface, subdivided into 8 equal parts. Each portion is rolled out thin crust, it is not necessary to be a perfect round shape. The sheet is smeared with melted butter, rolled on a roll. Roll is wrapped like a snail, the ends must be under the pita. The buns are allowed to rise 40-45 minutes in a greased or covered with baking paper tray at a distance from one another. Spread beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 12-16 minutes in preheated 180 C oven. Optional finished buns can be smeared with butter while hot.
