Softened butter mix with sugar until white. Add eggs one at a time, such as beating continued. Flour, vanilla and baking powder sifted twice and gradually added to other products. Pour the mixture into an oiled and sprinkled with flour form. Top rank of clean cherry pits. Bake in moderate oven about 30-40 minutes. Remove when cool and sprinkle with plenty of icing sugar and 1-2 vanilla.
