Cranberry sauce

Ingredients
340 g cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup sugar
slice of lemon or orange peel
sugar, salt and pepper

Method
1/2 cup blueberries separated. Other berries are placed in a pan with sugar, lemon or orange peel (whole or grated) and 2 tbsp water. Cook about 10 minutes on low heat until the sugar is melted and cranberries soften. Then the stove increases to moderate temperature and cook until the sauce blueberries burst (about 12 minutes). Stove again reduced and separated add blueberries. Season with more sugar, salt and pepper (optional). Allow to cool thoroughly. If citrus peel is placed across, it is removed. * Serve as a sauce for grilled meats (usually added to the roast turkey for Thanksgiving), but also with roast beef or pork goes well. Can be eaten as a sweet. * 1 cup = 240 ml
