Stewed apples

Ingredients
8 sour apples
4 tbsp water
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Method
Apples are peeled and cleaned seminal part. Halve and put in a saucepan with water and other products. Stew under cover until tender. Serve with roast meat or poultry.

It is a good side dish to roast meat of deer or pheasant. Especially if slightly caramelized.
