Tarka Dal (Tarka Dhal)

Ingredients
1 cup red lentils
1/2 cup yellow lentils
1 small tomato
1 small onion
1 tsp turmeric and cayenne pepper, salt, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and garam masala
4 cloves garlic
sunflower oil
coriander leaves and chillies decoration

Method
Lentils soaked in water for about 1 hour. In a saucepan put the lentils, 3 cups water, chopped tomato, onion, turmeric and salt. Put it on the stove and when it boils, stir and put the lid and boil until the mixture becomes mushy. In a pan put sunflower oil and add cumin warm beans while sizzled. Finally add the chopped garlic and fry until the garlic becomes golden, then add all while already boiled lentils. Stir well and add garam masala. Garnish with coriander leaves and chillies.

Thanks for the great recipe finally know what to do with this yellow lentils :) In my third cup water was a little too much - the lentils is cooked and it was too watery, had to pour out a little. Next time I'll just put two and maybe a little more spice.
