Submitted by enr on 06 Feb 2012
Ingredients
200 g flour
150 g wholemeal
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
250 ml lukewarm milk
Method
Preheat oven to 200C. Pour two types of flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Make a well in the middle and pour the milk, to give a soft but tight dough. Sprinkle countertop with flour and gently mix the dough for 2-3 minutes. Shape it a round loaf. Transfer it in the pan, greased with butter. Bake 15 minutes, then reduce oven to 180C and bake for another 15 minutes (until golden brown and begin to sound hollow when you tap the bottom). Remove the bread and wrap it in a towel until it is time to serve.
