Hungarian Christmas cake Bagehot

Ingredients
500 g flour
250 g butter or margarine
2 eggs
20 g yeast
150 g of milk or cream
pinch of salt
50 g sugar
1 egg for egg wash
# For walnut stuffing :
150-200 g ground walnuts
150-200 g of sugar
50 ml milk
50 g raisins soaked in rum
1 vanilla
50 g apricot jam
# For poppy stuffing:
150-200 g ground poppy
150- 200 g sugar
50 ml water
juice of 1 lemon
zest of 1 lemon
50 g raisins soaked in rum
50 g cherry jam
Method
Yeast dissolved in lukewarm milk or cream with sugar. The flour is sieved and blended with the butter, 2 eggs a pinch of salt and yeast with milk. Kneads dough, which is left to rest in the refrigerator for two hours. From this amount of dough can be prepared 2 large or 4 small rolls. Walnut Stuffing can be prepared by the milk and boil it add all other products and can not boil - just all products nice to mingle. Poppy stuffing is cooked, the water is boiled and it dissolves the sugar and add other products. Stuffing leave well to cool. dough out of the freezer and divided into 2 or 4 balls. Of each rectangle is formed, which is smeared with stuffing and twist roll. Thus prepared rolls are coated with beaten yolk and leave in a cool place for 1 hour to rise. Leleeeee, very long list of products and difficult way of preparation, but in contrast, there must be magical taste, good Cornelia especially if you cooked it :)

Very interesting recipe! Always Christmas cakes are labor intensive ... but tasty!
