Cherry cream cake

500 g cherries
1/2 sheet puff pastry
1/2 cup sugar
# For the cream:
500 ml milk
80 g butter
2 yolks
1/3 cup sugar
5 tbsp flour
2 vanilla

The dough is placed in a suitable tray and prick in many places with a fork. Bake at 200 C for about 20 minutes. Remove and leave to cool. Cherries are cleaned and put in a small saucepan, sprinkle with the sugar until it melts. Milk mixed with sugar, flour and the butter in a small saucepan and boil. Stirred continuously to obtain a thick cream. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and vanilla, mix well and pour the cherry mixture. Hot cream spread on cooled crust dough and allowed to sit for half a day in the refrigerator.
