Why says Salam cake?

Because it is brown and white and biscuits are being cut like a larded sausage. I make this cake more than '32

makes it a slightly different way, but the result is the same. Broken biscuits put in a large bowl and pour in lukewarm milk; put in the cream and egg yolks then add the beaten egg whites; use a mixer and granulated sugar; prepared mixture put in a baking dish in the refrigerator. It's nice to stay longer - at least one night. Diversity can add pieces of Turkish delight, chopped dried fructo. As stated Reni - old recipe, but ageless!

tillia, very appetizing photos. Bravo!

I have no doubt that the cake will be super delicious, just bothers me ... the eggs may be eaten pretty quickly, so there is no problem that raw ... will do ...

It's called salami cake, because obviously remains part of the name before, when the same content is poured in parchment paper or cellophane and curved like salami. The mixture is firm enough and there is no danger of spillage. In the form of sausages placed in the refrigerator before serving and cut into slices with a thickness of 1 finger, which look like salami. My recipe even I have the title *Sweet sausage*.

And what happens to the milk? It Is not used for cake?

Senjak, writes in his recipe - biskitite melt in warm milk!

It is clear that the biscuits and melted by subtracting what happens to milk, this is my question ?.

what is asked in the biscuits and you stay out of the milk puts it in a mixture - for it takes just wet crackers. So if you stay fresh milk, it is not used more in the recipe and is best to drink it, it is useful :)
