Submitted by enr on 09 Dec 2011
Ingredients
2 large tbsp boiled water (about 30 ml)
1/4 tsp CMC (Carboxymethylcellulose, tsmts)
# addition:
small jar with a screw cap
Method
In a pot mix the water and cellulose. Shake well. After this first shaking the liquid has lumps, this is normal. Leave overnight in the refrigerator. The next day was shaken again. If necessary, dilute slightly with the addition of boiled water drop by drop. The density of the adhesive should be like warmed honey - not too thick, but not rare. The flowers and all the parts to be glued, are coated with a very thin adhesive. Brush that is used is obarsva (drain) well on the edge of the pot before smeared parts for gluing. sale and special jars of glue with brush inside the cap, as in nail polish. The adhesive is transferred to it only after it has spent one night in the fridge, otherwise, sms stick to the brush. In general, sugar ornaments can be glued with water, alcohol, etc. But that glue holds flawlessly and leaves no residue after drying. When adhesive liquid adhesion work because the subject itself is wet, ie its very substance soak. When solid objects it is seamless. But when you glue the leaves of a rose, for example, which are only 1 mm thick, coated with the water would simply melted them. So it says here glue and adhesive flowers. Durability - 3-4 weeks. Then cloudy and must be discarded / replace with new.

very valuable and useful recipe!

This powder TSMTS where buy?

Good for Aliana! I read this recipe in the book of Wilton - Beautiful gum paste FLOWERS. In truth, I did something - glue, but my problem was drying flowers in general - so I experimented and poured into glue and glucose powder. But the recipe for edible adhesive is just one.And his works *flawlessly*. Otherwise described by Wilton e to mix equal amounts of water and meringue powder - fine white powder prepared from dried egg whites, cornstarch and food gum - gum.

I ordered it from an online store for confectionery needs. TSMTS present in the recipe for a special mixture for the production of flowers and fine ornaments. Of Wilton book I, Mrs. matzah was my teacher in the course and recipe know it from her, so I have indicated as the source. Hope you is useful as it is to me :)
