Caramel cake compote

Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
10 g baking powder
vanilla 1
2 tbsp butter
1 jar (800 g) compote
more sugar for the caramel

Method
Beat eggs, sugar, sifted flour with baking powder and vanilla. It's nice not to produce very thick dough. Melted sugar to obtain a slightly dark caramel, which put on the bottom of a buttered baking dish or cake pan. On caramel arrange random pieces butter (can be without them). Top put slices of fruit compotes pour cake mixes. Bake in a preheated 180C oven. As a bake turn into another tray or large plate and syrup with the juice of the compote.

I do not like cakes, but this looks very interesting and I will try! Ham with fruit, yet with caramel, I can not resist ... what compote is best to use?

I do it with peach compote with any joint. And not quite right-cake is moist;)
