Method
Oranges wash thoroughly with a brush to remove as much of chemistry, which are sprayed for longer durability. Then peel them and cut the sheet of twigs with a width of about 0.5 cm. To put its scent, and to not bitter then pour them with cold water and blanch three times. After the third blanching have already committed their shape and are not sickles, and, of course, does not become bitter in flavor. I then draining and drying. In a deep skillet or saucepan prepare the sugar syrup by melting sugar in two cups of water. When it begins to bubble slightly, add crusts, mix well and leave to simmer on low heat about 75 minutes. They are ready when you appear slightly transparent. Then remove them from the syrup with a slotted spoon and arrange them one by one on baking sheet without sticking. We leave them to dry 3-4 hours (I left them overnight), while almost stop sticky. When sufficiently dry, melt the dark chocolate water bath and dip each crust in it, so the icing to cover it 2-3. The combination of orange and dark chocolate is amazing and quite objectively I can say (I do too) that these scabs definitely beat Lindh Euro-Mediterranean orange.

Oh, very tasty :) Thank you, iris that share the recipe is great! Photos will not upload, your are wonderful and do not want to disfigure recipe: D

Mimeto very pleased me your comments! :) I already prepare a second dose. And the pictures do not worry, most importantly you pleased with the prepared! :) :) :)

The pictures are really very nice, Pepi! Too bad I do not like orange peels (otherwise I would be tempted to do) :)

Thanks for the comment, Reni! Well, there are foods we do not like, otherwise, I do not know how you deal with your weight :) :) :)

Pepi, it turned out ... I like orange peels! Well, that brought a try, otherwise I doubt I would do :) In addition to dark chocolate dipping them in white and milk (and so as combinations is great! ) We like :)

Glad Reni! :) :) :) I sincerely hope and the boys they liked! And I tried a combination of milk chocolate, but to be honest: with natural are my favorites!

Pepi, a boy (my husband) likes everything :) :) and my son who is very fickle and like me does not like orange peels, was delighted :)

life and health, and this year it's time for the scabs! Dose and half matures cool, and tomorrow evening will receive each crust and chocolate shell :) :) :)

I apologize for the stupid question, but not under blanching is meant immersion of scabs briefly in boiling water?

It is not a stupid question, Katya! Blanching is pre-cooked with boiling water (in this case). That is put on the stove pot with water to boil, pour the orange peels in it to turn 2-3 minutes. Wave from the heat changes the water and repeat the process two more times. As stated in the recipe, the goal is to eliminate the bitterness of the peel. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to ask :)

Thank you for the comprehensive response. I assumed that this is technology, but chose first to ask. These days you will do and will share what is the result. May be obtained because the recipe is very interesting and the final product looks very appetizing.
