Armenian layered cake

Ingredients
# For the base:
4 eggs
13 tbsp sugar
15 tbsp flour
1 vanilla
# For the syrup:
1 cup sugar
2 cup water
# for walnut cream:
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
3 tbsp cocoa
200 g butter
crushed nuts for decoration

Method
Base: Eggs are broken with the sugar and vanilla to graying. Add sifted flour and mix well. The mixture was divided into 2 equal portions (about 2 the base). Each part is poured into a medium pan covered with baking paper and bake in a moderate oven until ready. Syrup: Sugar with a little water is caramelized. Add the remaining water and mixed until melting of the hard candy. Optional in syrup can put a few drops of rum essence. Walnut cream, milk, sugar and cocoa are heated. Once boiled, put the walnuts. Walnut cream boil on low heat to thicken, taking care not to burn. Cool slightly, add the butter and mixed. Place on a tray base, syrup with half the syrup and smeared with cream. Was placed on top the other base and syrup with remaining syrup. Spread the cake top and sides with cream and garnish with crushed nuts. When syrup the bases must be cooled down, and the syrup must be hot. Caramel syrup should be bright.

Marshes without bulking you? Can it be cured once and then dividing by 2?

Yes, no raising agent is. Bake for 2 times. If you bake at once will crush when cutting.

As I read, swamps of sponge dough (I guess eggs are broken down to the graying). I've firing of the mixture and then I cut (with thread). So, akva7, as you are more comfortable that way. As seals separately, there can not judge equally dividing the mixture and one sheet becomes different thickness than the other. The recipe I like, especially the cream. We'll try a ready cake that can save some time. But the cream very tempting me. Thanks for the recipe and I hope soon to write and my feedback.

Girls baked marshes completely and razryazoh with silk thread. Do not crush. Not divide it and I do not pre succeed, always one is bigger and ready slice it into two equal parts.

One cup of milk is not a bit of cream, spreads the whole cake and between the latter must? And how is the diameter of the latter must form?

Cream is oil, not milk. So will reach 1 cup milk 200g butter.

Very tasty cakes comes out.
