Ingredients
500 g flour
4 eggs
100-150 g butter
3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
pinch of cardamom
pinch of crushed cloves
rind of 1 lemon
salt
1 tsp (5 g) baking powder
frying fat
powdered sugar
Method
Eggs and sugar are stirred to foam, add the spices and grated zest, carefully add the flour, melted but not hot butter and finally the baking powder. The dough is kneaded well with a teaspoon of it rowing small balls. Fry in hot oil and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
