Spicy dumplings

Ingredients
150 g flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
15 g margarine
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp smooth jam (apricot)
# For the syrup:
375 ml water
250 g sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground dry ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Method
Products for dumplings, mix thoroughly. Syrup is put to boil in saucepan. With a teaspoon of dough is placed in the boiling syrup. Cover with a lid and leave to simmer for 15 minutes, does not open. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream, frozen yogurt or whipped cream.
