Ingredients
500 g filo pastry sheets
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 cup yogurt
1/2 cup sunflower oil
3 eggs
10 g baking powder (1 packet)
2 vanilla
# For the syrup:
3 cups sugar
3 cups water
Method
In a buttered baking dish put two sheets, on top put a mixture of beaten eggs with milk, baking powder and vanilla and sprinkle with walnuts. Alternating so to finish the products. Bake in a moderate oven and leave to cool. Boil the syrup of sugar and water and after it has cooled and it is poured the banitsa. Allow to stand for 2 hours before serving.
