Submitted by enr on 30 Nov 2010
Ingredients
1 kg veal
15 ml olive oil
30 g flour
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
10 pieces (for toast) smoked ham with pepper
2 cup chicken broth
125 ml red wine
30 ml tomato juice
10 g sugar
salt, pepper
Method
Fry chopped into small pieces of meat in a little olive oil and sprinkle with flour. Add the chopped onion and garlic and stir continuously for ten minutes on medium stove. Add tomato juice, broth, wine and leave to boil less 15 minutes. Add sugar, stir and leave to boil with the lid on for about an hour on low heat. Add the ham, cut into strips (2 cm wide) and leave to simmer for 30 minutes. Last add salt and pepper. If you boil a stronger cooker, you will need to add more broth.
