Apples in Italian

Ingredients
6 apples
3 tbsp butter
4 tbsp caster sugar
350 ml red wine
70 g raisins
zest of 1/2 lemon
pinch of nutmeg
Method
Apples are washed and carefully gouge to be cleaned of seeds. Wine, sugar, raisins, lemon peel and nutmeg mix and allow to stand for 1 hour. The oven is heated to 190 C. Apples are arranged in a greased baking pan. The filling is divided equally into each apple top and put a lump of butter. The remainder of the marinade was poured into the tray. Bake approximately 40 minutes.
