Stuffed cookies with dates and walnuts

Ingredients
# For the dough:
500 g flour
300 g soft butter
1 egg white
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp water or rose water
# for walnut filling:
200 g chopped walnuts
100 g sugar
pinch of cinnamon or cardamom
# For filling dates:
200 g dates
50 g ground walnuts
10 g butter
1 yolk for brushing
Method
For the dough mix the flour and baking powder and sieved. Knead in the butter, egg whites, salt and water. Allow 30 minutes to cool. for walnut stuffing mix the walnuts sugar and spice. For stuffing with figs, dates finely, fry 3-4 minutes in the butter, add minced meat walnuts. Half the dough is rolled out, smeared with dates, rolls up into a roll and with a sharp knife cut washers. Arrange on a tray with baking paper. The other half of the dough is rolled out with a glass cut circles, put it in a spoon of the walnuts, close to the crescent, smeared with yolk. Arrange also in the tray. Optional can sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180 C 15-20 minutes. The recipe is from Iraq.
