Submitted by enr on 11 Jun 2009
Ingredients
# For the starter:
120 ml warm milk
3 tsp dry yeast
250 g flour
# For the dough:
1/4 cup butter
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
250-300 g flour
# For the filling:
sausage - ham or another of your choice
cheese or feta cheese Mozzarella
Method
Warm the milk to 30 C and pour in bowl, add 125 g of flour and mix well. Add the yeast and remaining flour, stir with a wooden spoon. Cover with foil and leave for 1 hour in a warm place - one hour after the starter was very arose. Beat the butter with the sugar in a deep bowl with mixer until it is creamy. Add eggs and continue stirring for several minutes. Add the egg mixture to the yeast and mix well, add another cup of flour. Move the hard top and knead well, add the remaining flour (you may not need all the flour). Knead well on a soft dough and add the chopped sausage. Knead and put in a bowl smeared with grease and covered with foil for 1 hour in a warm place. After an hour the dough has tripled its volume. Add flour and roll out well with a diameter of about 40 cm and 1 cm thick (I put the bottom sheet of parchment on which Peko then). In the middle put a glass marker and cut into 4 pieces to the edge of the cup. Then cut each quarter into 5 equal parts. Obtained 20 pieces. Remove the cup. In one piece sprinkle with plenty of cheese or mozzarella. Any free loop the piece on the neighboring cheese so as to overlap. Twist each beam around its axis. Then take one of the rays and screw into roll and place on the middle part of the pita. Turn rolls all other rays accommodate them evenly. Brush with beaten egg-white and sprinkle with plenty of cheese. Leave covered with a towel for about 20 minutes in a warm place. Bake in preheated oven at 180 C 30-40 minutes.
