Quick breakfast with oatmeal

Ingredients
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 cup water or milk
pinch of salt
topping optional
honey, sugar or other sweetener to taste
milk or yoghurt (optional)

Method
Oatmeal and water or milk are mixed in a deep bowl. Add a pinch of salt and cook in microwave on high for 1:30 to 3:00 minutes. Because microwave ovens are very different cooking times vary. It is very important the first time as a cook oatmeal observe them while preparing to not boil over. This way you know exactly how much time to set the microwave next time. Remove the bowl and leave few minutes until oatmeal poizstinat and thicken. Garnish with optional topping and sweeten to taste. If you prefer oatmeal are rare, you can add milk or yoghurt. * This is a very fast, delicious and nutritional snack that can be easily made even if you do not have much time in the morning. * Ideas for toppings: 1) cocoa or dark chocolate (to taste) 1/2 cup grains of pomegranate 1. tsp coconut (optional), walnuts or pistachios (optional); 2) 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, 2 tbsp ground walnuts, cinnamon and honey to taste; 3) dried fruits (dates, stavidi, apricots, plums, apples, pears, figs) or fresh fruit of your choice and chopped nuts (of your choice - walnuts, almonds, pistachios), cinnamon or ginger (optional).

I love them with milk, sugar and a little bit more kanela- becomes like rice pudding, but more useful :) And my little daughter eating it. I personally miss the salt.

Iliana May you have a similar taste. I put more cinnamon if I put Something sweet (stavidi, chocolate and so on..) Does not need sweetening. Added recipe mainly because oats are prepared easily in a microwave. Thereafter, which as you love them.

I like oatmeal and often prepare them with yogurt, apples, cinnamon, dried fruit, walnuts, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter. Many options for such a filling breakfast and useful! :) Gerry, like me and your suggestions!
