Ingredients
1 old white bread
100 g walnuts or other nuts
100 g raisins
2 eggs
sugar
2 tbsp sunflower oil
pinch of salt
fruit of your choice
# For the syrup:
1 cup sugar
2 cup water
1 vanilla or other flavor of your choice
# or
syrup compote
Method
The bread is cut into thin slices, bake and ground (or natroshva in large pieces). Mix with nuts, raisins, eggs, salt, sugar to taste, the oil and 1 cup water. Bake in greased form in preheated oven at moderate temperature. Baked cake pour sugar syrup (may syrup compote) and allowed to absorb liquid well. Decorate with fresh seasonal fruits (or with those of the compote). Serve cold.
