Drunk vanilla sponge cake

# For the cake:
400 g sugar
400 g soft butter
400 g flour
8 eggs
5 vanilla
10 g baking powder
pinch of salt
# For the syrup:
100 ml cognac
50 g sugar
butter and breadcrumbs for coating form
powdered sugar for sprinkling
The butter, sugar, vanilla and salt cream. Add eggs one at a time, stirring continuously. Was added portionwise sifted flour with baking powder and stirred. Pour the mixture into a buttered and sprinkled with breadcrumbs form cakes and smoothed. Bake in preheated oven at 175 C 50-60 minutes. Cake allow it to cool slightly in the form, then turned on a tray and leave to cool completely. Prick the cake here and there with a wooden skewer. Boil 100 ml water, 100 ml konjac and 50 g of sugar and stirred to dissolve the sugar. Cake, pour the hot syrup and leave to stand overnight. Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

400 g butter and other products do not have a lot for a cake? Looks like a double dose ...

cake becomes large. Small keks- half dose.
