Pasta with vodka sauce

Ingredients
500 g pasta of your choice
1/2 onion
3-4 cloves garlic
500 g tomatoes (or paste from a jar)
1 cup vodka
2 cup cream for cooking
basil (preferably fresh)
olive oil
Method
Finely chopped onion and garlic sauté for two minutes in olive oil. Add tomatoes and vodka sauce and let simmer for about half an hour to boil off the alcohol. Then add the cream and basil sauce and allow to simmer for another half hour. Boil pasta according to package directions and stir the sauce. Serve with grated feta cheese Parmesan. * This is a basic sauce. You may add the meat, a sausage or vegetables.
