Shortcake with puff pastry and jam

Ingredients
450 g puff pastry
jam of your choice
1 egg
powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method
Puff pastry gently rolled into a rectangle. The right half is smeared with jam, and the left half is cut into strips about 2 fingers wide. All edges of the sheets are coated with beaten egg. Cut left half is transferred to the right and pressed. Top is coated with the rest of the egg. Bake in a moderate oven. Once cool sprinkle with powdered sugar.

At the moment I had at hand and egg dipped near the water. Still obtain. This time I used pear jam.
