Ingredients
1 1/2 - 2 cups beans
1-2 onions
1 slice celery
1-2 carrots
3-4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
canned peas
salt
Method
The beans are washed and soaked in water for several hours. Then drained and coarsely chopped boiled with onions, celery and carrots. When ready, triturated through a strainer and to the resulting slurry is added roux from the butter and flour. Soup, add salt and leave to simmer for 5-6 minutes. In serving its add drained peas or fried bread cubes.
