Pasha pilaf

2 cups Rice
2 and 1/2 cup meat broth
250 g minced meat lean
2 slices of stale bread
1 onion
2-3 tbsp pine nuts
2 tbsp butter
salt, pepper
2 tbsp sunflower oil for frying

Wash the rice soaked in hot water 30 minutes and then leave to drain well. In a saucepan melting the butter and fry the pine nuts and rice for 5 minutes. Pour the boiling broth, tampering with pepper and salt to taste and leave to boil over low heat until the rice swell. Remove and allow to absorb all the liquid. To add the minced meat soaked and squeezed bread slices, grated onion, tampering with pepper and salt Knead the mixture well. Make small balls of minced meat the size of a hazelnut and fry them. The bottom of the bowl with a suitable amount put part of the fried balls, all with pilaf applying pressure and turn on the serving dish.

How can replace pine nuts? I suppose that the recipe can be done without them, but still.
