Ingredients
500 g filo pastry sheets
1 onion
5-6 large potatoes
4 tsp salt
ground black pepper

Method
The clean onion cut into in large pieces and fry until golden. Peel the potatoes and planing in large pieces grater, add them fried onions (along with fat, which is fried), salt and pepper. This mixture was stirred and placed upon the peels are folded as banitsa. Arranged on a tray, previously greased with sunflower oil and bake about 45-50 minutes. * In optional mixture can be added smoked skinless sausages or ham.

I did a little more than half a dose. 3 large potatoes used 6 tablespoons oil and I think I hit the right amount because it was not greasy, but it was dry. Was very tasty. The recipe is great. Filling I distributed throughout the cortex, not just at one end to be able to bake better. Put less salt if you like more of unsalted (like me) than salted dishes.
