Apples in batter

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups (300 g) flour
180 g butter
1 egg
6-7 apples
1 cup jelly or jam
1/2 cup (100 g) walnuts
2 tbsp caster sugar
Method
Involved dough of flour, eggs, melted butter and a little lukewarm water. Apples are cleaned from the seed portion and filled with a mixture of jam and milled kernels then wrapped separately in the dough and baked in a hot oven. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
