Baklava - cigar

Ingredients
500 g filo pastry sheets
2 cup walnuts
125 g butter
2 tbsp cinnamon optional
# For the syrup:
400 g sugar
500 ml water
2 vanilla
lemon juice or 1/3 tsp limontozu

Method
The walnuts be crushed and in large pieces them added cinnamon. The butter melts. Peel develop and narrow side put on the walnuts. On them pour a trickle of butter and rolled in 2 sheets of a tight roll. Is cut into 6 equal pieces and arrange in not oiled tray. When all cigar line up is smeared with the remaining butter. Bake in the heated oven on medium heat about 180 C for 45 minutes to obtain a nice golden tan. Remove when slightly cool pour the cold syrup. The syrup is prepared as in the boiling water put sugar and vanilla and boil 5 minutes. Takes from heat and put 2-3 tbsp lemon juice or 1/3 tsp limontozu.

recipe is great, but there is no need of cinnamon and vanilla! Baklava is delicious with walnuts and butter! I had never realized that I could curl into rolls! Becomes more beautiful and syrup takes better! Bravo for the nice recipe!

spices are really a matter of taste, but in the original recipe for baklava, cinnamon always present.

I forgot to say that in the syrup and put the grated rind of 1 lemon.

I like, just looking for a practical and easy recipe.
