What is this / excuse me I do not know in what kind is / penne?

Italians call the different types of pasta with different names. In the case called penne pasta making short.

Thanks! I only thought it was something exotic.

Pene straight short pasta with pointed tip. Penne means pencils. Of these there are two types - penne deprivation, smooth pencil and penne Riga - pencils with concave longitudinal traits. When given as penne pasta, and not writing, it is only in the plural. If the paste is not pointed, not penne, logical.
