Ingredients
4 eggs
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
1 and 1/2 cup flour
3 large apples
1 cup walnuts - coarsely chopped
1 vanilla
rind of 1 lemon
powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method
Eggs and sugar is broken down to graying. Add the flour, vanilla and grated lemon peel. Stir until a uniform mixture. The walnuts and coarsely chopped apples were added to the mixture. Mix well. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured pan. Bake in a preheated 180C oven until ready (check with a toothpick). Once cool cake sprinkled with powdered sugar. * lemon peel adds great flavor optional but can be replaced with cinnamon * Quantities are for tray with a diameter of 28-30 cm.
