Easter cookies with starch

Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup sunflower oil
700 g wheat starch typically
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 vanilla
2 tbsp lemon juice
3-4 drops almond essence
jam for gluing or powdered sugar for sprinkling
Method
Beat the eggs and sugar until white. Add the oil, baking soda dissolved in lemon juice, vanilla and almond extract. Starch was slowly added while kneading medium soft dough. Dough make small balls as cherries. Arrange in a baking dish off because enlarge double. Bake at 200 C to cracking and pale pink. Cool stick with jam or hot copiously sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Eli, 700g starch is not a lot? One packet is 60-70g - that means 10 packets ...

No, not much. I've made them with less starch are kletavi, not crispy.
