Hamburg meatballs

1.2 kg beef
200 g pork
1 egg
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 onion
1/4 tsp ginger
1 tsp oregano
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 tbsp lard or 1 tbsp sunflower oil
400 g canned tomato sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp mustard
1 tsp chili powder
by 1/4 tsp black pepper and garlic powder
Mix egg, breadcrumbs, half onion, finely chopped, oregano and ginger. Add the two types of ground meat products, and are stirred until a uniform mixture. It is formed into small patties. Arrange in the pan and baked in a warm oven to 180 C for 15 minutes. In skillet stew rest of the chopped onion with pepper until softened vegetables. Add tomato sauce, sugar, mustard and spices. The mixture boil. Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes. Meatballs are served, splashed with the sauce.
