Ingredients
400 g baby carrots
2 onions
4 white turnips
50 g rice
2 leeks onion
1/2 tsp savory
1/2 tsp mint
3 bay leaves
olive oil
salt
Method
Clean the onions, wash and cut it in large pieces. Clean the turnips and cut them into small cubes. Clean the leeks and cut into rings. In a saucepan heat the oil and fry the onions and baby carrots. Add turnips and spices, mix well and add the rice. Pour over vegetables with 1 liter of water and bring to a boil. After quite boiling soup, reduce the heat and cover with a lid. Allow to boil for about an hour. Then add the leeks and cook for another 25-30 minutes. Finally, remove the bay leaf and Salt, if necessary.
