Viennese Christmas fruitcake

Ingredients
120 g raisins
150 g of dried dates, figs and apricots
100 g candied orange and lemon peel
# For the dough:
170 g butter (margarine)
4 tbsp baking powder (4 sachets )
150 g flour
5 g salt
1 tsp cinnamon
grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger
100 g chopped walnuts
# For glaze:
1 egg white
60 g sugar
Method
From those products knead dough while mixing in a sequence as set. To this was added chopped dried fruit. The resulting dough is placed in an oiled and sprinkled with ground walnuts cake form. Bake in a pre-heated to 170-200 C oven for about 70 minutes. Egg whites and sugar are broken snow with them smeared cooled cake. On top sprinkle with chopped dried fruit.

Thank you for the wonderful recipe only could you clarify whether a raising agent used and how, and does it matter sequence of mixing products when making dough?
