Pork in Szechuan

500 g pork
1 tsp ginger
1/3 cup white wine
1 tsp chili sauce or mustard
4 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2-3 tbsp sunflower oil
1 onion
2-3 sklilidki garlic
5 tbsp ketchup

The meat is cut pieces 3-4 cm and placed in a bowl of water on the stove to neck for 30 minutes, during which time removing foam generated. After they are drained and put in a marinade of 1/2 tsp ginger, white wine, 1 tsp chili sauce or mustard, 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp vinegar for about 5 minutes. Then Drain marinade from and fry with 2-3 tbsp sunflower oil, chopped onion and 2-3 cloves garlic (finely chopped), 1/2 tsp ginger for 5 minutes until golden. Finally, add 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp vinegar 5 tbsp ketchup 2 tbsp soy sauce and simmer another 10 minutes.

recipe is really good and very, very tasty. My initial idea was to do for garnish steamed vegetables (carrots, peppers and mushrooms), but then I decided that everything can be mixed in one. I added roasted cashews. Became a great meal.

Today I tried the recipe with chicken. It is very tasty. Again put and vegetables (such as at the first attempt).

I prefer the meat is lean and this recipe using fillet (chicken or pork).

I think that sweet-sour taste is typical of some of the dishes in Chinese cuisine and it gives exactly the specific nature of this recipe. Once you do not like the combination of sweet, salty and sour maybe you should try again another Chinese-style - with more vegetables, mushrooms, possibly bamboo tips.
