Ingredients
500 g bananas
500 g pineapple, diced
500 ml water
600 g sugar
125 ml dark rum
lemon juice

Method
Bananas are peeled and sprinkled with lemon juice. In a deep saucepan put water and sugar. Boil to yield a thick syrup. Then add the fruit and leave to simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally. Boil until ready. Then pour rum, mix well and distribute into jars. To be sealed with caps turned down.
