Ingredients
# For the dough:
500 g semolina
150 g butter
5 g baking powder
1 tbsp lemon and orange peel
# For the filling:
300 g pitted dates
# For the syrup:
1 and 1 / 2 cup sugar
2-3 cloves
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp rosewater
# Optional:
coconut and sesame seeds for sprinkling
100 ml sunflower oil for frying

Method
Mix semolina, 1 cup incomplete warm water, melted butter, baking powder and spices. Kneads dough is sticky. Allow to cinch in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Roll out on an oiled surface. Spread chopped dates and rolled. Cut into pieces of 1.5 cm. Fry in preheated oil until golden. The draining of excess fat on paper towels. Boiled to a thick syrup products and 2 cups water and pour it makrudite. Sprinkle with coconut and sesame. Served with iced tea.

Today I made them and are just incredibly delicious! Bravo! Raztochuh first half of the dough. Only ... more in cutting zabelyah that dates pieces fell. When frying the first test pieces were scattered. The other half of the dough omesih directly with dates and OPEC all in the oven for 20 minutes at 160 degrees fan! More aroma from the oven all gathered in the kitchen! With or without syrup - fantastic! Will often do! Thanks for the recipe!

Eli, it became a roasting from affliction:-) I did and photos, but not nearly as beautiful as yours. Maybe I'll put them in the forum. Tomorrow I have a contract, my husband wants to take to friends:-)

Makrudite became magic with figs. Even May were my favorite.
