Ingredients
apples
sugar
Method
Apples should be medium to light in a jar to fit at least 4 pieces. Prefer apples with red color. The fruit is cleaned from the stalk, then washed very well. With a sharp knife cut each apple from the cup so as to remove the seminal part, but without prejudice to the stem cavity (without punctures on the other side). Cleaned fruits rank in the tray with the opening up and bake in the oven. Baked apples rank in the jars and pour 40% sugar syrup. The jars were sealed and sterilized for 10 minutes. 40% suc syrup means 400 g sugar +600 ml water or proportional. For 1 jar compote need about 180 g of sugar, ie about 450 g syrup.
