Dumplings from Kaiser buns (bagel)

Ingredients
10 Kaiser buns (Kaiserbrotchen) - old, dry, at least from the day
500 ml milk
1/2 bunch parsley
1 onion
1-2 tsp butter
3-4 eggs
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
salt
breadcrumbs or flour for thickening

Method
Cut the onion into small pieces and stew in fat until golden. Parsley cut too finely and the bread into small cubes and all products are mixed to give a thick dough for dumplings. If somewhat rare, can be thickened with breadcrumbs or flour. The dough was allowed to rest for at least 10 minutes and then it is used 8-12 dumplings which are placed in a low-boiling salted water and boiled for 20 minutes. Perfect side dish for grilled meats with sauces. * I recommend to consume a nice German beer, red or white wine.

This is a versatile and very popular recipe. Just maybe need to refine - earthly Bavarian and Austrian name for white bread (Latin - simila - flour turn of samidu - Assyrian *white flour*). So no matter what bread is to be used - it is important to dry, very hard, with a thick crust. So often enjoy Bavarian pretzels - a kind of boiled bagels. Try and you will not regret:-))

Do something - Топчета of breadcrumbs soup . So pretty much my taste is familiar and definitely will try the recipe. I think that will make a great side dish.

Ooo ..! Long ago I read the recipe for dumplings boiled bagels, but I really like pretzels, especially served with Hefei white beer ... so I do not think to do dumplings :), although must have great taste! Greetings!
