French toast with cooked prunes

Ingredients
50 g sugar
8 prunes
vanilla powder 2
4 eggs
2 tbsp (20 ml) milk
4 slices of bread with a thickness of about 1 cm
60 g butter
sugar Sticks
Method
In a saucepan mix sugar and 1/2 cup (100 ml) of water and boil over moderate heat, stirring until sugar is melted. Boil for 4 to 5 minutes, to afford a syrup. Add the plums, pitted and chopped, and simmer for 4-5 minutes to soften them. Add vanilla. Removed from the fire, is capped to preserve the heat and set aside. In a shallow bowl put the eggs and milk and slightly broken. Then the mixture is placed slices by irrigated on both sides for 1-2 minutes. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, to a foam. Insert the bread and fry until golden for about 3-4 minutes. Turns and fry the other side for 3-4 minutes. Each slice is placed in a bowl, pour a little syrup and prunes and sprinkle with sugar sticks. Serve immediately.
