Sponge cake with pumpkin and walnuts

3 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
2 cup grated pumpkin
1/2 cup sunflower oil
1 cup hot water
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
powdered sugar for sprinkling
Sponge cake with pumpkin and walnuts

Sugar is poured on the pumpkin and let stand about 15 minutes. Add the oil, dissolved in warm water, soda, and spices the walnuts. Gradually add flour. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured form. Bake in a moderate oven. Optional, after cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
